Special Hotel Information for Meats Judging

Meats Judging folks can stay in Fort Collins at the Hilton Fort Collins, very close to the Colorado State University campus and the contest site. We have a special guest room block at this hotel with negotiated discount rates.

Please call (970) 482-2626 and request the CSU Extension Colorado 4-H Foundation room block. The group code is MHF.

You have until December 11th to make room reservations at the discounted room rate. After this date, any remaining guest rooms will be released back to the hotel to sell.

Meats Judging Workout—Optional—Friday January 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The University of Wyoming Meat Laboratory will again host a workout for Western National Roundup. The time and date are Friday January 11th from 7:00am to 4:00pm. They will have the following for evaluation:

  • Beef Carcasses
  • Beef Ribs
  • Beef Rounds
  • Beef Short Loins or Beef Full Loins
  • Pork Carcasses
  • Pork Hams
  • Pork Center Cut Loins
  • Retail ID (approximately 100 cuts)
